Project Manager to oversee the design, fabrication, installation and start up of sawmill lumber processing equipment. The candidate will manage up to multimillion dollar industrial-scale projects.


  • Oversees the project team and resolves commercial and technical issues.

  • Manages equipment design, fabrication, and installation and start up, project cost schedule and scope within the project’s defined boundaries.

  • Develops budget and schedule variance reports and presents to senior management on a regular basis.

  • Manages project fabricators and contractor working with company engineering group.

  • Identifies innovative opportunities that enhance the quality of, decrease the cost of, and reduce time to complete the projects.

  • Ensures uniform quality, schedule and budget for all design and construction projects for the corporation.

  • Working with the engineering group and contractor to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agency-required guidelines. 


  • BS or MS in Construction Management, or Engineering (minimum 15 years’ experience) preferred.

  • 10 years’ experience in managing industrial-scale projects over $1 million preferably in the sawmill and wood and/or power and heavy industry.

  • Strong project management experience with the ability to set-up and execute large projects.  

  • Strong understanding of contract terms, mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications and is able to execute in the field.

  • Excellent project control (cost control and scheduling) skills are essential.

  • Knowledge of codes, regulations, and industry standards & practices including OSHA-required health and safety guidelines for construction.

  • Ability to direct multi-disciplined teams to accomplish project objectives.

  • Ability to evaluate and resolve project economic and scope issues.
