Job Purpose
Responsible for managing the plant electrical maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order system using the CMMS program.
Working Relationships
Report to the electrical supervisor.
Duties
- Responsible for planning and scheduling preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Prioritization of all work as it pertains to area of responsibility.
- Determine labor, materials and other requirements and costs for all work orders.
- Develop and publish project schedules with input from others.
- Preparation of job kits for all planned work / work orders.
- Arrange and schedule contractor assistance and resources.
- Maintain all plant drawings and equipment information.
- Management of work order system as it pertains to area of responsibility.
- Responsible for ensuring electrical plant histories are properly collected and stored in the CMMS.

- Problem solving as it pertains to coordination with planning/scheduling, CMMS, and department concerns.
- Ability to effectively and openly communicate with employees, managers and contractors.
- Proven ability to work with people in a fair and consistent manner.
Written Skills
- Ability to read, understand, and organize complex written materials.
- Ability to prepare yearly maintenance electrical planning and scheduling goals.
- Ability to provide weekly, monthly and yearly electrical schedule including outages, vacations, and major activities.
- Experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and administrative computer systems modifications or additions.
Numerical Skills
- Ability to use basic and intermediate mathematical computations and problem solving.
- Assist management with preparation of budgets as it pertains to area of responsibility.
- Measure and report on electrical maintenance benchmarks and cost matrices.
Problem Solving and Management Skills
- Develop contingencies for problems that arise while understanding the consequences of the options.
- Strong organizational skills an asset.
Technical Skills, Training & Experience
- 5 years of electrical maintenance manufacturing experience in a 24/7 operation, preferably OSB experience.
- CMMS database experience.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft applications.
- Planning and scheduling experience preferred but not required.
- PLC experience.
