Salary: US$95,000 plus depending on experience. Salary Exempt.
Education Required: High School with College Degree BSME required.
Years Experience Required: Three (3) years of Mechanical Supervision paper machine experience.
Responsibilities:

  • World Class Maintenance Experience managing mechanical maintenance industrial maintenance.
  • Manage three mechanical supervisors and one supervisor/planner who manage 30 mechanical craftsmen.

Essential Functions: The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

  1. Supervise the activities of all personnel assigned to the Mechanical Maintenance Departments.
  2. Maintains compliance with ISO Quality System responsibilities.
  3. Schedule and coordinate Mechanical Maintenance shutdowns, repairs and construction work in cooperation with the Electrical Department, Operating Departments and Plant Engineering Department.
  4. Issue requisitions for repair parts and supplies necessary to Mechanical Maintenance and construction work in cooperation with the Electrical Department, Operating Departments and Plant Engineering Department.
  5. Direct the administration of Company policy and programs pertaining to the performance, training, safety and morale of all personnel under his supervision.
  6. Assure enforcement of company rules and regulations and maintenance discipline as well as effective administration of the Union-Management agreement.
  7. Keep the Maintenance Manager informed of all current and long-range personnel and maintenance problems and plans.
  8. Assist in preparing cost estimate for work orders, capital jobs and in the preparation of the annual departmental operating and capital budgets.
  9. Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance records and information on all machinery, equipment and buildings.
  10. Coordinate and cooperate with outside contractors and equipment suppliers.
  11. Good computer skills using CMMS along with work orders.
  12. Strong maintenance planning and maintenance scheduling experience.
  13. Must have wood or pulp experience.
  14. Ability to motivate subordinates and work closely with people at all levels of management.
  15. Proficiency in communications both written and oral.
  16. The ability to understand all mechanical equipment and systems.
