Description:
The Field Service Engineer in North America is responsible for building and nurturing strong customer relationships, regularly meeting clients to understand their needs, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. As the primary customer contact for North America, the Field Service Engineer serves as a local ambassador, supporting customer requirements and strengthening the company’s brand. This position involves significant travel, with most work conducted at customer sites. The role demands in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio and standard mill equipment. By sharing expertise and providing reliable support, the Field Service Engineer actively promotes our products. The Field Service Engineer serves as the primary contact during emergencies at client sites, providing immediate support, while performing measurements, collecting data, and submitting findings to the Business Unit for analysis. Close collaboration with Business Units and sales teams is essential to manage sales activities and maintain technical excellence regarding products and industry technology. The Field Service Engineer engages directly with key clients, proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and fosters a customer-focused culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field preferred but not required
- 10+ years in composite panel industry.
- A strong network within the industry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office
- Experience as a technical engineer or similar role preferable within the composite panels industry, with a solid understanding of plant operations and standard equipment
- Have excellent problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent time management and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the sales team in developing and implementing strategies to improve business performance and customer satisfaction
- Build and nurture customer relationships, creating long-term partnerships and identifying process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to prioritize business unit needs
- Ensure quality service delivery and maintain product quality standards
- Maintain a deep technical understanding of the product portfolio and aftermarket sales to deliver customer solutions
- Meet clients regularly to understand their needs and expectations
- Participate in the execution of projects, including start-up and installation activities
- Promote our products by sharing your strong technical knowledge and supporting customers with technical advice and guidance
- Support all Business Units and act as an ambassador for company.
