Description:
The Electrical Project Manager in Louisiana will oversee the construction of a wood products facility in Louisiana. The ideal candidate has a strong background in electrical construction management, with a focus on running underground conduit and managing electrical crews. This is a temporary position with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role. A competitive per-diem package and temporary employee benefits will be provided. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in electrical project management, with specific experience in industrial construction projects preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and travel to project sites as needed.
- OSHA certification and a commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations, with familiarity with Southern Louisiana requirements a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all electrical-related matters, providing regular updates to project stakeholders and addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure efficient and timely completion of electrical work, while adhering to project specifications and safety standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings, to ensure accountability and facilitate future project planning.
- Project Management: Lead and manage all electrical aspects of the facility construction project, including overseeing construction crews, running underground conduit, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that all electrical installations meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges to project success and develop strategies to mitigate them in order to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and manage electrical construction crews, providing guidance and support to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
- Timelines and Budgets: Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring that milestones are met, and expenditures remain within approved limits.
