Job Description:
The Plant Manager in Louisiana manages the overall manufacturing operation of this wood products composite panel manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing and has direct responsibilities for the P&L of the operation. This role also is responsible for overseeing the production of goods and the provision of services with the goal of providing our customer with a quality, cost-competitive, environmentally friendly product in a safe and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or operations related fields is desired
- 10+ years of experience of proven leadership ability in the wood products industry, preferably composite panels.
- Project Management experience is a desired skillset for this position
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of Emotional Intelligence and Ego-Strength
- In depth knowledge of production management, maintenance, and quality control principles
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Strong leadership, excelling in teamwork.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other Process Improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities:

- Effectively engage teams to meet business goals
- Evaluate equipment, facility, and process needs, and prepare capital authorizations to meet current and future needs
- Lead all efforts to achieve world-class goals across the facility: safety, production, maintenance, supply chain, cost improvement/efficiency, housekeeping, reliability, product quality, policy and procedures development and compliance
- Lead continuous improvement efforts and ongoing continuity across the facility
- Lead training and participative management
- Provide operational management to the manufacturing facility
