Description:
The Capital Engineer in Minnesota will be responsible for providing engineering services to maintenance and operating department personnel as required to resolve all mechanical issues. Includes developing scope, plans, project justifications, cost estimates, engineering design, equipment and material specifications, manage project costs, schedules, consultants, contractors and construction along with start-up.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required
- 3+ years of experience in an industrial environment with Project Management skills. Pulp and Paper experience is preferred.
- Computer literate, including a strong background in MS Office.
- Excellent interpersonal skills – conflict management, coaching, feedback, and problem solving.
- Be assertive and have a strong work ethic
- Have strong attention to detail and good decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and set a positive example.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage mill capital projects, with a focus on mechanical.
- Interact with purchasing, accounting, and other departments throughout the mill.
- Responsible for safety plans, on-time, on-budget, trouble-free projects with all customers.
- Responsible for providing engineering services to maintenance and operating department personnel as required to resolve all mechanical issues.
